The Motorola V6 maxx is obsolete?

Motorola V6 maxxI have a Motorola v6 maxx cell phone which I have just acquired. Several days ago I read news from the Motorola web site that they are coming up with a new generation of RAZR type mobile phones aptly called RAZR2.

For starters, they are coming up with 2 models — the Motorola v8 and Motorola v9. The Motorola v9 has HSDPA while the Motorola v8 is only Quad band GSM. Featurewise it’s not different from my Motorola v6. In fact I don’t understand why the heck Motorola is getting all hyped up about the new models. With not much difference, I don’t think that the v8 and v9 will follow the footsteps of the Motorola v3 in breaking sales records.

What do you think? Is my Motorola v6 already obsolete?
