Asus EeePC hack it or blog with it?

Ultramobile PC has been gaining popularity nowadays. If you’re a blogger and you don’t need all the power in a computer the Eee PC. It doesn’t cost as much as a laptop and you can use it for blogging from almost anywhere.

The Asus EeePC has decent specs. A 900Mhz CPU, 512MB ram, 7-inch display, 4GB solid state storage (so you won’t have to worry about hard disk crashes), ethernet, wifi, built-in web cam, usb ports.

It already comes with an operating system (uses a linux operating system) and other free software for email, office (OpenOffice). You can create documents, spreadsheets, presentations and browse the Internet right out of the box.

If you prefer a color other than silver, it’s also available in different colors like blue, green, pink and black.asus-eeepc-colored

It’s only about 2 pounds in weight so it’s very light to carry around. The Asus EeePC can easily fit into your backpack or bag. The cost is also light on the pocket at around USD 400.00 or about Php 18,000 locally.

The Asus EeePC is just right if you’d like to start blogging on the Net and wanna spend as little as possible while being able to get a computer that you can bring around.

eee-overview-completeBut if you’re on the other side of the user spectrum and a techbuff, you’ll probably be interested in an Asus EeePC because of only one thing — get would like to get your hands on one to hack it.

This guy has probably upgraded the Asus EeePC into every possible way imaginable. He has actually added a GPS, bluetooth, card reader, extra USB ports, FM transmitter, a modem … If there where enough space left to close the EeePC he’d probably still add some more stuff into it. I’d say this guy is a definite power user, don’t you?

You can read more about it from here.
