My wife recently got her free cell phone for her post-paid mobile phone service. She received a Nokia 3110c mobile phone and turns out that this multimedia mobile phone that has a rich set of features at a price that is affordable if you’re going to buy it. If it you are still unable to update it and your phone came with a subscription package from the phone company, you may need to bring it to them to get it updated.

If I ask for gprs settings with the bsnl cellone chennai, I get a reply that I should send the details of the model as required by them though I do that fine.

Hi,
Configuration depends a lot on the telco carrier or service provider. Some service providers will just provide you documentation on how to setup your mobile phone manually while others require you to send a text (e.g. SET NOKIA3110c) to a specific number. You will then get a message containing configuration settings that prompts you to save the settings on your mobile phone.
Try to check what is the procedure for your service provider.

You’ll have to ask your service provider for the manual settings

i have the manual settings but these settings can only run wap on mobile browser it neither support any application nor the Email client. my service provider is not able to tell me more settings

Nokia 3110c does not support MP4 format.

@andy, @dadi: you would have to contact your provided ‘coz settings are provider dependent.
@reno: you can check if there’s a firmware update for your phone. Hmmm…my wife’s phone never did have such a problem. try checking if you have the latest firmware.
@njb: actually not sure but the nokia specs says it has mp4 support.

@gaurav: you’ll have to ask airtel for the required settings. they are provider dependent. some providers support auto configuration by sending an sms message to a provider special number.

First of all u must undestand that ther is no virus for java based mobile bcuz it does not hav enuf ram 4 the purpos. Now 4 all ya phones to work fill up the phone mem such that abt 60kb is free now put the mem nd nothin will go rong .p.s. The phones music player tries to update at a high speed but the mem card cant handle it n there phone restarts
