Nvidia has announced that it will be buying the Ageia. Ageia is a leading provider of game physics engine software.

nvidia logoThis is going to rock! With Nvidia’s acquisition of Ageia, I’m sure that we will soon be seeing the incorporation of the same game physics engine software created by Ageia in Nvidia’s graphics video cards.

AGEIA’s PhysX software is widely adopted with more than 140 PhysX-based games shipping or in development on Sony’s Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Microsoft XBOX 360, and Gaming PCs. It is being used in games such as Unreal Tournament 3 and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon.
