Nokia E71 mobile phone
Nokia has done a great job of creating the next evolution of it E-series business phones. The Nokia E71 is bound to be a favorite when it comes out. Its predecessors, the E61 and E51 are good business mobile phones but the Nokia E71 simply blows them away. At a mere 10mm thick and boasting a 2.36 inch LCD screen and full qwerty keyboard, it’s perfect for both business and fun.
That’s not all, it has all the things you would expect in todays hi-tech phone with HSDPA, bluetooth with EDR/A2DP, an infrared to boot, WLAN for additional means of communication. Nokia also made sure it has enough juice when you need it by using a 1500 mAh Lithium Polymer battery.
For business, it supports email via IMAP, POP3 and SMTP, it has VPN and supports printing using the LPR and the HP JetDirect protocol. Web browsing will not be a problem with Nokia’s great mobile browser supporting HTML, XHTML, CSS, WML and Javascript. It even has text-to-speech capabilities.
On the multimedia side, it has a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera equipped with LED flash. It’s able to do 22 frames per second at 640 x 480 resolution. It also has an FM radio with RDS support. For location services, it’s equipped with a GPS and Nokia Maps.
Can’t wait to get my hands on this mobile phone. Nokia has put everything that you’d expect in a business mobile phone on the Nokia E71. They even included a security features like data encryption in the internal memory and on the 8GB SDHC you can put into it. And that’s not all, it will allow you to erase your data in case you lose it by just sending an SMS message to the mobile phone.

@Fulanito: Actually not clear yet since it’s still not available. You’ll need to check out the Nokia Multimedia Transfer software support for the E71 when it comes out to market. The Multimedia Transfer software supports E61 and E62 so its very possible it will support it too. I’m also hoping it will have iTunes support ‘coz it’s such a great phone.
