Text Message of the Day via QRCode

TxTuI’ve managed to do some updates here at txtu.com. Besides tweaking the layout, I’ve activated my “Text Message of the Day” (TMOTD) feature on the sidebar. The TMOTD is randomly generated everytime a person visits txtu.com.

Along side the “Text Message of the Day” is a 2D barcode that you can scan using your mobile phone’s camera. It beats the hell out of having to type in the text you want to send as an SMS on your cell phone.

If you don’t have a 2D barcode software installed on your mobile phone and you own a Nokia or Windows Mobile cell phone, you can download the free software from Quickmark. You can find the instructions and link on the SMS page.

If you want to share some text messages, just post it as a comment for now on the SMS page and I will check on them.

A semblance of a new site

At last I have been able to put up my personal weblog here at txtu.com. I’ve been busy these past week trying to brew this wordpress template for my new virtual home.

I’m beginning to get the hang of creating wordpress templates. This has been my second site, the first being www.javamidlet.com. I’ve decided to put this site up and running even though this template is a little rough on the edges so that I can get my feet wet faster into blogging here at txtu.com.

I wanna keep the site www.javamidlet.com solely dedicated about mobile Java. But since I have some other topics that I would want to blog about, I have to put this site up earlier that scheduled.

Well, I guess I did it, now I can continue blogging. :-)

Creating Ortigas Online

A few years back I decided to put up the web site ortigas.com and call it Ortigas Online. Ortigas Online is basically a web site that contains a map of Ortigas Center and a directory of streets, buildings, shops, malls and offices in the Ortigas area. I started the site because I used to work in the area and wanted to compile information about Ortigas Center that I could use whenever I need to.
