Samsung has announced at the Mobile World Congress that it hopes to have a mobile phone based on Android, Google’s open mobile platform, by early next year.
LiMo Foundation™ announces LiMo Handsets
The LiMo Foundation, a consortium of companies in the mobile industry, has announced the several mobile phones that uses the LiMo Platform™. The Limo Platform is an open mobile platform based on Linux software. Initial manufacturers that confirm Limo Platform enabled mobile phones are LG Electronics, Motorola, NEC, Panasonic Mobile Communications and Samsung.
